The King's Heralds Quartet

The internationally acclaimed KING'S HERALDS quartet brings to the stage an eighty-six year heritage in gospel music. Founded in Keene, Texas in 1927 by four young college students, the group has come to be recognized world-wide for their blend and musical expertise. Current members of the quartet are Don Scroggs, First Tenor; Jared Otto, Second Tenor; Russell Hospedales, Baritone and Jeff Pearles, Bass.

This inter-denominational group has toured not only the United States but the islands of the Caribbean, all of Latin America, the South Pacific, Australia, the Orient and Africa. Among their audiences have been heads of state, kings, presidents, governors, ambassadors and other dignitaries.

Regular television guests on the "Praise The Lord Show" on the Trinity Broadcasting network, the KING'S HERALDS quartet has also appeared at the National Quartet Convention in Louisville, KY since 2007 performing on the main stage. They also performed at the Great Western Fan Fest in California.

The KING'S HERALDS quartet has shared their music before the Christian Booksellers Association, the National Association of Evangelicals, the National Association of Religious Broadcasters, the Protestant Health and Welfare Association, the Greater Pittsburgh Charismatic Conference and the Baptist World Alliance. The quartet is the first Christian gospel group from the West to tour The People's Republic of China since 1949, singing for the "First Invitational Symposium of the Christian Church in China" sponsored by the US/China Education Foundation. In 2001 the KING'S HERALDS presented 19 concerts in the Republic of Cuba with the Spanish Christian Radio Broadcast "La Voz de la Esperanza".

The KING'S HERALDS have received twenty -three "SILVER ANGEL AWARDS" from EXCELLENCE IN MEDIA, including six for "Best Male Vocal Group" and fourteen for "Best Album." The group also received a "GOLD ANGEL AWARD" in recognition for their being the oldest, continuous Gospel Quartet in America. The KING'S HERALDS perform in a variety of musical styles, making them a favorite with audiences of all ages. Their rich blend, harmony and balance as interpreted through their well-know a'capella singing creates a rich musical experience. Thirty one men have been a part of the KING'S HERALDS quartet since its foundation in 1927. They have recorded in 30 languages, on over 100 albums and toured over fifty countries. Their music is treasured by people all over the world, from the highlands of Papua New Guinea, to the steppes of Russia, to Santiago in Chile.
